Cat People (Putting Out Fire)
Dec. 16th, 2012 10:52 pmI spent my whole Sunday on this. Vidding is fun.

Date: 2012-12-18 08:11 pm (UTC)Sounds like you only watched the first 12 episodes that aired before the writers' strike brought the show to a halt? The last four episodes were produced a little later, I think.

Date: 2012-12-18 08:37 pm (UTC)The last episode we got to see in the UK was of Beth and Mick giving in to their feelings for each other. If there were more episodes after that then I'd love to get my vampire-obsessed hands on them!

Date: 2012-12-18 08:47 pm (UTC)But Coraline is hunted down by her brother Lance (looked that name up) and taken back to France. Which means she could have returned for a second season...

Date: 2012-12-18 09:00 pm (UTC)I have a Moonlight-addicted friend on LJ, and she and I have speculated about Mick and Coraline's "marriage". We both think that a human/vampire marriage wouldn't be valid as - technically - the vampire isn't human. Thoughts?

Date: 2012-12-18 10:11 pm (UTC)Maybe that was her twisted human side.
And then there was this vampire couple in one episode, who had been faithful for several hundred years and got burned together. Remember?
Despite the legal or religious implications, marriage must be a fascinating concept, even for vampires. Maybe because it's almost impossible to stay together "till death do us part".

Date: 2012-12-18 10:16 pm (UTC)But in Moonlight their existence is still kept a secret. So if they legally don't even exist, they cannot get married legally, can they?

Date: 2012-12-18 10:23 pm (UTC)I do remember, as you said, that Coraline was desperate for a child. She was desperately twisted. Perhaps she never wanted to be a Vampire in the first place and it drove her mad? A bit like Dru from Buffy?
